Der Elsburn The Journey 2022 ist ein hervorragender deutscher Single Malt Whiskey. Dieser Single Malt wurde in einer faszinierenden Kombination von Spezialfässern gereift - für die Reifung wurden Eichenfässer verwendet, die zuvor mit Weinen wie Sherry, Port, Madeira, Marsala, Malaga und GrandCru Bordeaux befüllt wurden.

Dieser Whisky ist voll von fruchtigen Aromen von Rosinen und Pflaumen, sowie süßen Noten von Karamell und Toffee in der Nase. Im Nachgeschmack zeigt sich ein ganz zarter Rauch, der von dem geringen Anteil von 5% über Holz geräuchertem Gerstenmalz stammt.

TASTING NOTES

Nase Nose	Im ersten Moment fruchtig, eichig und würzig, später malzig mit Kaffeenoten, dunklem Karamell und etwas Toffee. Feine, leicht ölige Rosinennoten und ein Hauch von angebackenem Keksteig mit feiner Vanille schließen das Geruchsbild würdig ab.
Gaumen Palate	Der Geschmack beginnt mild und sehr ausgewogen, mit Noten von Rosinen in Früchtekuchen, feiner Eiche und etwas Bitterorange. Kurz darauf entwickelt sich in langsamer Steigerung eine komplexe Mischung von feiner Vanillesüße, dichtem Toffee und dunklem Karamell.
Abgang Finish	Der Elsburn klingt mit zartem Holzrauch, einer schönen Kaffeenote und getrockneten Orangenschalen aus.
