Dailuaine whisky is mostly used as an essential component for blends, but the distillery's Single Malt expressions have gained increasing popularity in recent years.
One of the most notable bottlings is the Dailuaine 16 Years Flora & Fauna, known for its distinctive and rich character. To the Murray McDavid collectionMurray McDavid wurde Anfang 1994 gegründet und hat sich schnell zu einem führenden Abfüller von Scotch Whisky entwickelt. Er war einer der ersten, der mit der Verwendung einer Vielzahl interessanter Fässer in der Art of Maturation begann, um inspirierten Scotch Whisky herzustellen.
Murray McDavid wurde von den Londoner Weinhändlern Mark Reynier, Simon Coughlin und Gordon Wright von der Springbank Distillery gegründet. Sie erwarben sich schnell einen Ruf für die Reifung von Whisky in interessanten Fässern, insbesondere in edlen Weinfässern.
Im Jahr 2000 machte sich das Team von Murray McDavid daran, die geschlossene Bruichladdich Distillery auf Islay wiederzueröffnen, wobei sie die Dienste von Jim McEwan, dem berühmtesten Master Distiller von Islay, in Anspruch nahmen.
