DESCRIPTION

Die Caperdonich-Destillerie wurde 1897 von James Grant in dem Speyside-Dorf Rothes gegründet. Sie wurde als Schwesterbrennerei von Glen Grant gebaut und daher als Glen Grant #2 bezeichnet. Sie wurde jedoch 1902 geschlossen und erst 1965 wiedereröffnet. Erst dann wurde er in Caperdonich umbenannt, was aus dem Gälischen übersetzt so viel wie "geheimer Brunnen" bedeutet.

Dies ist eine seltene Abfüllung von Single Malt aus der Caperdonich-Destillerie, die leider seit vielen Jahren geschlossen ist.

Er reifte 22 Jahre lang, bevor er von That Boutique-y Whisky Company abgefüllt wurde, wobei das Etikett von einer angeblichen Caperdonich-Kapernummer erzählt. Zwischen Caperdonich und der Glen Grant Destillerie gab es einst ein Rohr, aus dem einige Leute versuchten, kostbaren Whisky zu stehlen.

Batch 5 besteht aus nur 250 Flaschen, die im Jahr 2018 mit 48,6% abgefüllt wurden.
